Paul Hall
The love of the 4-H organization starts at the top with Paul. Paul Hall truly got his start in 4-H. He was a 10-year member of 4-H in Kentucky. He participated in camping, talent shows, speaking and leadership. In 1976 he was elected to state president and that same year his wife Jill Hall served as treasurer. Now, he has devoted many years to providing members across Kentucky and Ohio with the same opportunities he had.
He served the Kentucky 4-H for 30 years on their state foundation board and was even able serve the board as chairman of their awards program, personnel and over their whole board. He was honored in 2012 as he was named State Friend of 4-H! “While I will always bleed blue, I also have a huge allegiance to green and the clover.” –Paul Hall
Justin Holbrook
Justin was actively involved in the Clinton County 4-H program in his youth and to this day is still
involved in the 4-H program. As a youth member, he was active showing pigs and poultry projects. Due to his involvement showing pigs, he has developed skills that allow him to judge market hog shows from time to time. Justin enjoys giving back to the program that helped develop him into the person he is today. For the past 15 years, Justin has volunteered with 4-H in Clinton County where he has been the chair of the poultry department.
Anna Hall Stroud
Anna Stroud was raised by two parents who served as Kentucky State 4-H Officers. Having them understand the value of what 4-H can do blessed her with a childhood fully immersed in 4-H. Her parents were also 4-H advisors and this allowed her to become involved even before she was old enough to be a 4-H member! Working on parade floats was always one of her favorite memories with her 4-H club, the Mt. Orab Livewires. Showing, as with most 4-H members, was a highlight of her fair season every year. “I don’t think we truly realize how much we cherish those times until you are no longer able to show,” said Stroud. “Fair hasn’t been the same since my last year showing.” 4-H also allowed her to start developing leadership skills as she worked her way up through the officer positions in her club.
She was then honored to be selected as the Brown County Fair Queen. This allowed her to meet so many amazing people and build lifelong friendships. This privilege then led her to run for Ohio State Fair’s Queen. She was a runner-up to a remarkable leader in the state and had an opportunity to learn from many other young women throughout the process. This was one of the many reasons she chose to then run for state FFA office. “Without 4-H, none of this would’ve been possible,” said Hall. “The leadership, organization and work ethic abilities I learned throughout my time in 4-H are irreplaceable lessons. I thank God every day that my parents knew the value of what 4-H can do for young, growing minds.”
Lillian McConnaughey
Lillian was a member of 4-H for 11 years. Her first memories of 4-H start as a Cloverbud member! Throughout 4-H she was a member of the Silver Spurs Horse Club. Lillian is still involved in 4-H. She serves as the assistance Cloverbud advisor for the Concord Junior Farmers!
Melissa Speakman
Melissa was a 4-H member in Clermont County and Clinton County for 10 years. She was active in multiple species including horses, dogs and sheep. She even had Grand Champion market lamb in 1989 in Clinton County!
Stephanie Meyer
Stephanie was in 4-H when she was 13 for one year. She enjoyed showing horses through 4-H. Even though her time in the 4-H was short, she still sees the impact it has on youth!
Our love for the green clover runs deep at Paul Hall & Associates! We are proud alumni, advisors and supporters of the 4-H program! We realize the importance of 4-H and the foundation that it provides for youth throughout the country!
